Our Mission

Our experiences in working with many therapy techniques and years of helping children around the world have inspired us to share our knowledge with as many therapists and families as possible. Our goal is to make quality therapy readily accessible for children and their families and to teach this dynamic method to therapists around the world.

Not only do we want to share as much knowledge as we can to help families, but we also want to promote professional development of the therapists that learn with us and support them on their career paths. Creating new research and evidence-based therapy, as well as the advancement of the pediatric physical therapy profession is important to us.

MEET THE TEAM


Jake Kreindler M.Sc.PT

Jake Kreindler graduated from Touro College , Physical Therapy Master's Program in September, 1997. Since then, Jake has taken numerous continuing education courses including NDT, Therapeutic Taping, Sensory Processing and Integration, Treatment of the Hypotonic Child, TAMO, and Cuevas MEDEK Exercises Level 3 Specialist. In addition, Jake has training in Aquatic Therapy and has integrated this modality into his practice in the summer months for special needs children in New York.

Jake has travelled around the US and the world, performing therapy intensives for children with limited access to specialized therapies. 

Jake has an office in Valley Stream, NY where he works with clients and hosts therapy intensives.

Jake is committed to training and teaching new therapists and practitioners to help spread vital skills and hope to children and families around the world. 

Jo-Anne Weltman B.Sc. PT, MRSc

Jo-Anne Weltman graduated from Wits University in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1991 with a B.S.c. in Physiotherapy.  Since then she has completed her MRSc. with research in Hip Dysplasia in Cerebral Palsy at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. She has taken numerous courses over the years including NDT, Conductive Education, Therapeutic Taping, Theratogs application, Therasuit Approach, TASES (NMES) and Spinal Stimulation, Vestibular-Ocular therapy,  CVI, CME III, Reflex Integration, Sensory Integration, Orthopaedics in Children - to name a few.

Jo-Anne lives and works in Toronto, Canada. Her objective has always been to provide the best services to the children that she works with. so she opened S.M.I.L.E. Therapy for Kids a private practice that specializes in child development, to meet the demand for all areas of developmental and orthopaedic therapy in children. She continues to research and find the best treatments for all the children that are under her care and connects with specialists all over the world to achieve this.

Jo-Anne is an advocate for children with special needs and their families and works hard at trying to make changes in many areas to help these children as well as increasing their general level of care by educating those who will provide care to them. She is the CO-Founder or DMI Therapy, and teaches therapists all over the world. 

Biranit Keret, OT 

Biranit has been practicing for over 20 years. She graduated from BA Tel Aviv University with her Masters in Occupational Therapy. 

Biranit owns and operates her own private clinic specializing in therapy for kids with special needs - motor disabilities, cerebral palsy and various physical developmental delays. Biranit's clinic, previously based in London, is now located in Israel. Biranit travels to several countries across Europe to provide DMI intensives to children. 

Biranit  is our one of our instructor for  UK and European courses. 

Martyna Murawiecka, PT

Martyna Murawiecka is a dedicated rehabilitation professional and graduate of Nicolaus Copernicus University Ludwik Rydygier Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz.

 Beginning her career alongside her studies, Martyna initially worked with athletes before discovering her passion for rehabilitating babies and children. Her commitment to helping the youngest has taken her around the globe, from Canada to Australia, where she has undergone extensive training and gained invaluable experience.

Armed with a diverse set of certifications, including in pediatric DNS, sensory integration, and clinical taping, Martyna continues to expand her expertise at various courses and conferences. In her personal life, she embraces an active and healthy lifestyle, challenging herself with modern forms of exercise and constantly seeking opportunities for self-improvement.

Martyna  is our instructor for Polish-speaking practitioners! 

Jenny Saunders

Jenny Saunders is most often referred to as "Conner's Mom." Conner is 7 years old and has cerebral palsy. Before Conner, she graduated from The University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma with a Bachelors degree in Business Management and minors in Marketing and Psychology. 

Since Conner, Jenny has had a passion for sharing information in order to help other families. She believes that every child should have access to proper interventions no matter their location. Jenny is excited to be a part of the DMI Therapy team as they continue to grow and share knowledge in order to help more children worldwide. 

Jennell Mundorf, OTR/L

Jennell has been practicing for over 13 years. She earned her bachelors degree in professional child development from the University of Wyoming, and graduated from the University of Southern California in 2010 with a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy with an emphasis in pediatrics.

Jennell has advanced training and certification in Physical Agent Modalities (PAMS) including neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES). She has taken many courses over the years to further enhance her practice including CME Level II, Practical Treatment of Torticollis, ABCs of Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing in Premature Infants, Sensory Integration Certification, Integrative Listening Systems (ILs) and Gate Analysis and Training. 

Jennell spent 9 years at NAPA Center in Los Angeles and Sydney, Australia.  After NAPA Center, Jennell started On The Fly - DMI in which she travels around the world to provide DMI intensives to children. 

Jennell has always had a strong passion for helping people and loves working with children and their families, helping them achieve important motor milestones, gain independence and reach their highest potential. 


Claudia Rizzo, PT

Claudia Rizzo is an accomplished physiotherapist with a wealth of experience in pediatric rehabilitation, specializing in efficient care solutions. Claudia brings more than ten years of experience as a pediatric physiotherapist. She holds a Postgraduate Degree in Pediatric Physiotherapy and a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Unicid - Universidade Cidade de São Paulo, Brazil.

Claudia is fluent in both English and Portuguese and currently resides in Sydney, AUS. 

Claudia has experience in variousinterventions such as Neurosuit, DMI, TASES, Spider Cage, and Galileo. She hascompleted training in disability management, cultural responsiveness, andinfection control.

With an extensive professionalbackground, Claudia is currently serving as a Research Assistant Level III atNeuroscience Research of Australia, focusing on the physical assessment ofchildren with cerebral palsy for the MUGgLE Study. Previously, she worked as a physiotherapist at NAPA Centre Sydney for over 3 years.

Claudia is our first DMI instructorfor Australia and New Zealand! 


Mashayla Hanson

Mashayla Hanson joins DMI Therapy as an Administrative Coordinator. She is mom to four adorable boys: Hayden, Carson, Nolan and Gavin. 

She graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelors in Management. Mashayla has a background in management and sales, but in more recent years has found herself navigating the disability world for her son, Nolan. 

Mashayla understands, first-hand, the need for families to have access to therapy closer to home. 


Liza Barrios, PT  

Liza has been practicing as a pediatric physical therapists for over 22 years. She received her degree in physiotherapy from Columbus University of Panama (Cum laude). 

In 2017, Liza founded Kinetic Therapy Spain.  She dreamed of the possibility of helping families throughout Europe, empowering them with efficient strategies and tools, relying mainly on the motor potential of children. With a friendly approach in which parents can participate helping their children with home programs designed for the family. Kinetic Therapy Spain has helped over 7100 children. 

Liza has created a developed the "school for parents" workshop with the aim of providing support and advice to families with children. She has also written two books that help and support families of children with neurological disorders. 

Liza is our instructor for Spanish-speaking practitioners! 


Liza ha estado ejerciendo como fisioterapeuta pediátrica durante más de 22 años. Recibió su título en fisioterapia de la Universidad Columbus de Panamá (Cum laude).
En 2017, Liza fundó Kinetic Therapy España. Soñaba con la posibilidad de ayudar a las familias de toda Europa, empoderándolas con estrategias y herramientas eficientes, apoyándose principalmente en el potencial motor de los niños. Con un trato amable en el que los padres pueden participar ayudando a sus hijos con programas en el hogar pensados para la familia. Kinetic Therapy España ha ayudado a más de 7100 niños.
Liza ha creado y desarrollado el taller "escuela de padres" con el objetivo de dar apoyo y asesoramiento a las familias con niños. También ha escrito dos libros que ayudan y apoyan a las familias de niños con trastornos neurológicos.

Amanda Caperton, PT, DPT

Amanda Caperton is a pediatric physical therapist with over two decades of experience. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2003, building upon her foundation in Exercise and Sport Sciences from Texas Tech in 1997. Throughout her career, Amanda has pursued continuous learning through numerous continuing education courses, earning certifications in a variety of specialized techniques, including Dynamic Movement Interventions (DMI), Universal Exercise Unity (UEU), TheraSuit Treatment Techniques, Kinesio Taping, Dry Needling, and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM).

 In 2023, she founded A Step Ahead Pediatric Therapy in Tulsa, OK, with a focus on DMI Therapy.
